While Far View Horse Rescue horses are being rehabilitated and waiting for adoption, some are qualified to be available for lease. Our leasing program offers you the unique opportunity to form a special bond with one of our rescued equines with the objective of creating an environment that brings together a specific horse with a potential owner for a ‘trial run’ of experience that may result in horse adoption.

Far View Horse Rescue offers the below leasing option that is less expensive and less comprehensive in responsibility for the lessee than the norm in most horse leasing situations.
Leasing a horse at Far View Horse Rescue is a simple and rewarding process designed to ensure the best match for both horse and human. Whether you’re exploring a potential adoption or looking to build a deeper connection with a rescued equine, our step-by-step approach makes it easy to get started.
CONNECT THROUGH COMPASSION
The duration of this full lease involves one horse and one lessee for a duration to be determined between lessee and Far View Horse Rescue (month to month). The cost to the lessee is $200/month with daily care provided by lessee. The requirement of lessee to provide ‘daily care’ means all care and attention necessitated for healthy horse care and maintenance, including daily stall cleaning, water container fill/cleaning, horse turn-out or exercise, grooming, twice daily hay feeding, and any other tasks needed for your specific horse’s care. If daily care is not provided by the lessee, the cost is $300/month. This lease will be provided on the grounds of Far View Horse Rescue Ranch in Fairplay, CO.

Far View also allows a horse being shared between two lessees with arrangements made specifically between parties. The shared lease will be less costly and more limited in accessibility to the horse under lease.
